In addition to personal injury law, we also conduct mediations for other law firms in the state of West Virginia. Jim Stealey has advanced mediation training and is certified as a mediator by the West Virginia State Bar. 


Jim Stealey completed his undergrad at West Virginia Wesleyan in Government and his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law. Jim has been practicing law in the state of West Virginia since 1980 and is very active in the community. Jim proudly served as President of the West Virginia State Bar from 2000-2001, and was honored by being named the West Virginia Bar Foundation Lawyer/Citizen of the Year in 2003 for his distinguished service to the community and to his profession.

He has served as a president of the Wood County Unit American Heart Association and Parkersburg Lions Club as well as many other organizations. Jim is a founding sponsor of the West Virginia Breast Initiative and a member on the Board of Directors of Westbrook Health Services.  

 Jim has participated in numerous panel discussions at law seminars on various topics, including personal  injury and mediation. He has taught criminal law and criminal procedure at WVU-P and ethics at American National University.
